Indian style of storytelling, which embodies our core philosophy: every art or
design we create is a story, an account of events told through the
mesmerizing language of mixed media art.
The foundation was laid in January 2023, Katha was born out of a passion for
creative expression and a deep appreciation for the art of visual
communication. Our journey began with a simple yet profound idea: to

Maria Shakir, born and raised in the vibrant city of Nagpur, is a contemporary artist and interdisciplinary designer who has carved her path through a remarkable creative journey. Her story is one of inspiration, resilience, and unwavering dedication
to the world of art and design.
Failing her 11th grade Accounts exam and having a tough
time studying only led her closer to what always
was her deepest passion - art & design.
Maria's educational pursuits took her to renowned institutions,
including the Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology
in Bangalore, India, and the University of Michigan in Ann
Arbor, USA.These experiences nurtured her artistic talents
and equipped her with a unique perspective
on the world of
art and design.
Her canvas of accomplishments has extended to prestigious art galleries across India, such as Samukha Gallery in Bangalore, Samanvai Art Gallery in Jaipur, Radiant Arts in Mumbai, and her hometown, Nagpur, where she curated two solo exhibitions at the esteemed Darda Art Gallery.
